5 Simple Rules to Get the
Most Out of Your Search Results
Intuit's in-product or online support options (i.e. Intuit Virtual Agent (IVA), Live Community, etc.) include search functionality to help you find answers faster.
There are 5 simple rules you can use to get the most of your search results:
- Simplicity is key. When entering your search terms use concise, simple words and keep in mind that the search engine typically uses all words that you enter when searching the database.
- Consider what you're likely to find. The search is performed by a program designed to match your search terms to terms used in the articles of the results. Consider the types of results you may get to help you determine what your search terms are.
- Less is more. The more search terms you use, the fewer results you will receive. Remember that the program is attempting to match all search terms entered so that the more words you use, the more limited the results of your search.
- Descriptions can help. Just as when you're attempting to describe something to a person, a few descriptive words can help make your searches more successful.
- No need to punctuate. Search engines do not use punctuation to find answers so there is no need to include it in your search terms. If asking a question, you can omit the question mark and the search still works.

New York Fiduciary E-File
Mandate Exception
New York Fiduciary: New York
has issued a mandatory e-file requirement for all return types filed
beginning on January 1, 2010. ProSeries does not support 1041 (Fiduciary)
e-filing for TY09. There is an exception for the e-file mandate
for 1041 customers for TY09. If customers have purchased software
that does not support e-filing for 1041, they will be able to still
paper file this form for TY09. For more information, please view

Two New Tax Benefits Aid Employers Who Hire and Retain Unemployed Workers
On March 18, 2010, the IRS issued
News Release IR-2010-33, announcing that two new tax benefits are
now available to employers hiring workers who were previously unemployed
or only working part time. These provisions are part of the Hiring
Incentives to Restore Employment (HIRE) Act enacted into law. For
